사회적경제는 시민 모두가 주인공인 모두의 경제, 사람의 경제입니다.

시민이 사회문제의 해법을 제시하는 창업가가 되고, 지속가능한 삶을 실천에 옮기는 윤리적 소비자가 되고, 사회변화를 주도하는 투자자가 되는 등 시민참여로 이루어지는 사회적경제는 모두의 삶을 더욱 가치있게 만들어갑니다.

자원순환을 통해 주민 참여 기반을 만들고, 돌봄이 필요한 어르신을 위한 원스톱 서비스
로 지역 돌봄에 앞장서고, 빈집을 살려 주거문제의 해법을 제시하여 시민 생활의 빈자리
를 채워가고 있습니다.

서울의 사회적경제 조직들은 사회문제 해결을 위해 20 12년부터 서울시와 사회적경제를 활성화하기 위한 논의를 시작, 사회적경제가 성장할 수 있는 정책환경을 만들어 왔습니다. 그 결과, 서울 전역으로 확산된 서울시 사회적경제는 2018년 말 기준 4,337개로 6년 전과 비교하여 기업수, 매출, 고용이 성장했으며, 국내를 넘어 해외로도 사회적경제 선도 도시로의 역할을 하고 있습니다.

서울시 사회적경제는 앞으로, 공동주택을 중심으로 삶과 맞닿은 생활문제를 주민참여로
해결하고, 다양한 업종간의 협업으로 소상공인들의 비빌 언덕을 만들고, 기금과 시민자산화 등으로 공유자원망을 구축해 나갈 것입니다.

99% 시민의 참여로 이루어지는 사회적경제, 서울특별시 사회적경제지원센터가 만들어갑니다.

Social Economy is an economy for all, in which everyone plays an active role.

Social Economy brings more values to our lives through its foundation of civic participation; citizens become entrepreneurs by providing solutions to social problems; citizens become ethical consumers by putting into practice sustainable life ideals; citizens become investors leading changes in the society.

Social Economy builds foundations for citizens’ participation by mobilizing and circulating local resources. Social Economy responds to growing local demand by providing integrated care services for seniors and brings solutions to housing problems by renewing vacant houses. Social Economy caters to the needs of the community left unanswered by public services and the market.

Since 2012, Social Economy organizations in Seoul initiated discussions with the Seoul Metropolitan Government on how to solve social problems in the city and foster Social Economy, and have been shaping a policy environment where social economy is strengthened. As a result, Social Economy of Seoul now thrives throughout the city with 4,337 entities by the end of 2018. Social Economy in Seoul has grown dramatically over the past six years in terms of the number of active organizations, their sales volume and the number of created jobs, and now plays an important role not only in Korea, but also overseas as a pioneer Social Economy city.

Seoul Social Economy will continue to find and offer answers to daily issues of the society through civic engagement, establish support mechanisms for small businesses by enhancing inter-sectorial collaborations, and create enabling ecosystem with public funds and civil society assets.

Seoul Social Economy Center is at the forefront of all these efforts to enhance our Social Economy entirely built on citizens’ participation.
